Surgeons
Ian
Kerr B.V.M.S, M.R.C.V.S
A graduate from Glasgow Veterinary School in 1979, Ian gained
experience in practice in Cheshire and Angus, before settling
in Bridge of Weir. He is married and has a daughter and son,
who are currently studying to be an accountant and a dentist
respectively.
Owen
Borthwick B.V.M & S, M.R.C.V.S
Since graduating from Edinburgh Veterinary School in 1998, Owen
spent time in Stoke-on-Trent, Australia, and East Kilbride.
He joined the practice in September 2008, and got married later
that autumn. Owen and his wife Emma moved into Kilmacolm in February 2010.
Jillian Kerr B.V.M.S., M.R.C.V.S.
Jillian has rejoined the practice after 3 years away. She has moved back to the area and is working part time
for a few hours a week at both surgeries. She now has a toddler called Brodie and currently has 2 dogs, a Newfoundland, and a Border Collie.
Reception/ Nursing Staff
Carolyn
Kerr (Ian’s wife) – Carolyn qualified in
1978 as a Veterinary nurse and works part-time in the Bridge
of Weir surgery.
Sheena Fullarton – Sheena joined the
team in 1989 as a receptionist, but is now involved in all aspects
of the practice.
Grace Bull – Grace came to us in 1999
and currently divides her time between reception work, stock
control and animal care.
Sheila Inglis – Since 2005, Sheila has
worked part-time on reception, mainly at Bridge of Weir in evenings
and three mornings a week in Johnstone.
Eveline
Hamilton – is our main Johnstone surgery receptionist
and joined the team in 2006.
Susan Moore - Susan works on reception part time in both surgeries,
mainly at the weekend, but also a little during the week and tends
to be around more when covering for other staff's holidays.
She lives in Paisley and worked for many years at Ross Hall Hospital.
Students – Regularly we have work experience
school pupils or vet students seeing practice around both surgeries.
